Woman soldier released with a good bond behaviour

Kota Kinabalu: A 40-year-old woman soldier who caused hurt to a policeman to deter him from his work during a roadblock was placed on a good behaviour bond for two years.

Juhaneh Jahampung admitted before Magistrate Jessica Ombou Kakayun to committing the offence on one Lance Corporal Tommy Runggan at 1.15am on April 20 along Jalan Tun Fuad Stephens here.

Earlier, counsel Azhier Farhan, representing Juhaneh, applied for a bond of good behaviour saying that Juhaneh, who is single, was a first offender and taking care of her mother who was suffering from leukaemia.

Azhier said prior to the incident, Juhaneh had stopped her car after she was directed by the police to do so during a roadblock.
